Chedoke Creek - East Branch

The Chedoke Creek watershed is a warm water system, comprising 25.1 sq. km spread between the West Branch basin, Mid-Chedoke, Cliffview, Chedoke East and Lower Chedoke Creek.

When development on the mountain began in earnest, the East Branch of Chedoke Creek was diverted through an underground culvert. Unfortunately for the Creek, way too many developers connected sewer laterals into the Chedoke Creek East culvert, rather than the nearby main sewer, leading to the creek being extremely polluted and, therefore, fenced off to the public.
