Felker's Falls Conservation Area

Description

Felker's Falls Conservation Area covers the stretch of Davis Creek from above Felker's Cascade to just below Little Davis Falls. Felker's Falls and the land were formerly owned by Joseph Benjamin Felker (1880-1956). He was born and lived all his life on the same property.

The upper falls are located in the Felker’s Falls Escarpment Valley natural area, a broadleaf upland wood that grows along the escarpment slopes. The rock exposures located at Felker’s Falls have been identified as providing important geological information which, though not as large as the Devil's Punchbowl, provides an interesting look at the rock layers of this section of the Niagara Escarpment.
